New Poker Show on TV
The Game Show Network is breaking new ground in terms of poker programming. They are in the process of producing ‘High Stakes Poker,’ the first high stakes cash game to be seen on television, where players buy in with $100,000 of their own money – and have the option to cash out or rebuy if they lose. After seeing nothing but tournaments on television, this could be a refreshing change. We will be able to view the world of high stakes poker at its finest, as well as take a glimpse into the lifestyles and luxuries the high rollers afford.Scheduled to appear are professional poker players Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, and Doyle Brunson, among others. They will be competing against businessmen such as Lakers owner Jerry Buss and Tilman Fertitta, owner of the Landry’s chain of restaurants.
